Controller - Job Description
Utilicom Supply Associates is looking to add an experienced Controller to its
leadership team in Norcross, Ga. This individual will be responsible for all
aspects of the organization’s financial management, including corporate
accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well
as development of internal control policies and procedures.
    Manage the general ledger and month-end/year-end close process
    Manage cash flow to meet payables, payroll, tax distributions, and
    other operating needs
    Recommend, develop and implement new accounting practices,
    procedures and systems to improve operating efficiency, reporting
    capabilities and internal controls
    Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that
    accounts receivable are collected promptly
    Manage and evaluate the performance of accounting staff,
    recommending and implementing personnel action, such as
    promotions and dismissals
    Prepare monthly financial statements for management review
    Complete monthly bank reconciliations including cash accounts and
    corporate credit card accounts
    Ensure customer payments are applied correctly and bank deposits
    are made promptly
    Review credit applications for new customers and issue credit limits
    based on credit reports and supplier references
    Prepare bi-weekly payroll for salary and hourly employees
    Provide information as needed to independent CPA firm for corporate
    income tax analysis and preparation
    Prepare monthly sales tax report and submit to CPA firm to complete
    Work closely with insurance agents regarding renewals and changes
    related to all company insurances (health, life, business liability,
    auto, and worker’s comp)
    Perform some basic functions related to human resources (e.g.
    employee benefits)
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
    7 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience
    Must be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    Expert computer skills (MSOffice, SAP Business One experience
    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a
    demanding, multi-task environment
    Strong analytical and business skills
    Self starter – accustomed to identifying problems and quickly
    addressing root causes
    Focus and drive for continuous improvement and learning

JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
REPORTS TO: Controller
LOCATION: HQ, Alpharetta

The Sr. Accountant will be a key member of the corporate accounting team
and will have exposure to all facets of accounting, reporting, and analysis.  

1.  Preparation and review of journal entries, month-end close and monthly
account reconciliations which includes working with department managers
to fully understand business results and trends.  Additional ad-hoc analysis
to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP.
2.  Application of Software Revenue Recognition accounting (ASC 985-605)
including consulting with Sales department on pending orders and review
of new contracts and final revenue recognition assessment.
3.  Preparation of year-end Consolidated financial statements and related
notes including working with
external auditors on year-end audit.
4.  Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and
presentations for board of directors, investors, lenders and management.
5.  Assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual budget.  
6.  Assist with State & Local tax reporting as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA, or CPA track
Public accounting experience desirable

JOB TITLE:  Senior Financial Planning and Analysis
REPORTS TO:  Controller
DEPARTMENT:  Corporate
LOCATION:  HQ, Alpharetta

This individual will be the key member of the corporate FP&A function
supporting the development of critical financial models and analyses
necessary to guide strategic business decisions.

1.  Maintain financial model including income statement, balance sheet and
cash flow for the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and five-year strategic
plan ensuring quality, accuracy and thorough analytic review.
2.  Prepare financial analysis for board-level and executive meetings.
3.  Perform ad-hoc financial projects as needed (e.g. new product
profitability analysis)
4.  Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the
financial results against historical, budgeted, forecasted results to facilitate
5.  Work with the CEO, CFO on special projects related to partnerships or
merger and acquisition activity.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA/ MBA is preferred.

1.  Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis gained through at least
3 years of experience in Big-4 or Mid-Tier public accounting firms and/or
Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.
2.  Knowledge of Merger and Acquisition due diligence
3.  Working understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
4.  Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and exceptional Excel skills
are required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely
helpful (Access, SQL)
5.  Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to all levels
of the organization.
6.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
7.  Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
8.  Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
9.  Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to resolve
